Gianni Lucchesi

Gianni Lucchesi’s work is motivated by the attempt to visually translate psychological and  emotional states, and the relationships between the subject and its environment. He uses visual metaphors to try to give to emotions shape and color. One of its reference codes is the earth understood as subsoil, as a metaphor for an emotional stratification of the subjects observed: earth as the interior environment and roots as the essence of the subject.n the sculptures the base is not a support but an environment, sometimes obtained from the removal of volumes from monoliths, sometimes built as a box, a box, an “interior theater”. Solid iron, concrete or ceramic monoliths welcome small bronze figures that assume metaphorical postures, attitudes or intentions, an external manifestation of their inner world. His work has been exhibited at the Biennale of Casablanca, Morocco, Museo della Follia, in Palermo, Salò and Naples; and at Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico, among others.
